Hello!

My name is Manmit Singh, otherwise known as the Flyingbeard. I am a Los Angeles-based photographer and visual artist. Over the past 11 years, I have explored the many forms of visual storytelling from photography, video, painting, graphic design, and mixed media.

My work focuses on capturing the stories surrounding and shaping people and culture. I am passionate about documenting creatives throughout North America’s South Asian diaspora, & Punjabi communities, creating images that celebrate identity, connection, & individuality.

Whether I’m photographing a person, documenting my community, or creating a piece of artwork from the ground up, my goal is to tell honest & meaningful stories, sharing them with the world.

Through Flyingbeard, I continue to explore the space between art & life.
